Today, still in her thirties, she stands proudly as the youngest Partner in East Anglia, a respected specialist in Court of Protection and vulnerable client work, and a multi-award winning legal professional. Her journey is a testament to this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain – a celebration of how lifting others, giving generously, and leading with authenticity can create opportunities far greater than any one person could achieve alone.
Forging Her Own Path
Unable to pursue university due to personal circumstances, she chose instead to research alternatives, discovering CILEX qualifications and the flexibility they offered to work, learn and progress at her own pace. She earned her Private Client Practice Rights in 2017, followed by a Court of Protection Certificate from the University of Law in 2000.
Her dedication didn’t stop there, she has since gained multiple accreditations and memberships, including:
• Affiliate member of STEP
• Chartered Paralegal with CILEX
• Senior Member of the Professional Deputies Forum
• Former Chair of the Society of Women in Wills
Her expertise soon earned national recognition. She was named Best Young Wills and Probate Professional 2021 by Judge Rinder, won National Paralegal of the Year and Best Will Writing Paralegal in 2022, and as celebrated as one of the Top 100 Inspiring Women of Norfolk. Her work is now ranked in the Legal 500, and she contributes to her community as Director and Vice Chair of the Big C Cancer Charity, and a Director of both the Norfolk and Norwich Festival and The Magdalene Group.
A Career Build on Compassion and Courage
No two days look the same in Paige’s role. One moment, she’s supporting a family navigating the care of a vulnerable loved one, the next, she’s travelling across the country advocating for a client with complex needs.
Her passion for protecting the must vulnerable fuels everything she does.
“Being a Court Protection Lawyer helps me achieve my higher purpose. Every day, I get to be kind, full of love, generous and a good listener. That’s what I take pride in.”
This commitment has expanded into teaching – she now lectures on the Mental Capacity Act 2005, helping others understand how to apply the law with humanity and practical insight.
Breaking Stereotypes and Finding Her Voice
Her early years in the sector weren’t without challenge. Dismissed as a ‘blonde bimbo’ or mistaken for the ‘tea girl,’ Paige faced stereotypes that could have easily crushed a young professional’s confidence. Instead, they became her fuel.
“Rejection in redirection”
Those early experiences ignited her passion for supporting women – regardless of background, race or age and ensuring they know they’re not along in the adversity they face. She speals openly about her journey, including in an interview on Feminism in the workplace, helping others find strength in vulnerability.
Leading With Authenticity
Authenticity is the thread that runs through every part of Paige’s story. It is what her clients value most, particularly those navigating illness, loss or significant life transitions.
“It’s wonderful to be vulnerable and share that I am still human. If a client needs their hand held or a hug to feel safe, I have no hesitation.”
Her warmth and relatability have helped her build a thriving caseload based largely on referrals and recommendations.
Giving Back is a Way of Life
Outside of work, Paige embraces her love of gardening, tea, cake and good books. She is a motivational speaker, grounded in faith and spirituality, and committed to paying kindness forward.
The philosophy she lives by aligns seamless with Give to Gain – believing that the universe gives back what you put into it, ad that supporting other enriches everyone.
“What goes around certainly does come around. The more kindness you spread, the kinder the world feels.”
Lessons in Leadership
Despite her remarkable success, she openly describes leadership as, at times, a “lonely place”. Rising quickly in any profession can come with criticism, isolation and misunderstanding. But she found strength in mentoring – both offering guidance to young lawyers and seeing it from a mentor she trusts.
Her leadership advice for women in simple yet powerful.:
Three tips to women starting out:
1. Understand your purpose and what you want from your career
2. Be confident in who you are – stay true to your values and authenticity
3. Aim higher than feels comfortable, if your goals don’t scare you, they’re not big enough
And if she could speak to her 16 year-old self?
“Girl, get up! Girl, don’t stop! Girl, go through it. Your test is in your testimony. You are wonderfully and fearfully made.”
Finding Strength Through Adversity
For Paige, adversity has never been a barrier – but a catalyst.
Doubt from others only sharpened her ambition
Personal hardship shaped her resilience
And every challenge strengthened the advocate she is today.
A judge once gave her advice that she still carries with her today.
“It’s always better to fight for one’s beliefs and lose, than not to fight and lose. There is at least dignity in defeat – and hopefully a chance of victory.”
Living With Gratitude
Despite the awards, the accolades and the leadership roles, what Paige values most is perspective. Supporting clients who cannot communicate, walk, or feed themselves reminder her daily that:
“Waking up able to put my feet on the ground is a massive blessing.”
Her gratitude is profound, and her purpose is clear: to give back, to serve others, and to use her voice for those that don’t have one.
A Journey That Embodies ‘Give to Gain’
Her story is not just one of career success – it’s one of generosity, empathy and using her lived experience to lift others.
She shows that giving – time, compassion, knowledge, representation – creates space for others to grow. And in turn, she has gained a career filled with meaning, connection and impact.
From Apprentice to Partner at 30, her journey is living proof that when women thrive, we all rise.
